The Creators of Bedbugs!!! Return Off-Broadway with New Musical Comedy | Playbill

News The Creators of Bedbugs!!! Return Off-Broadway with New Musical Comedy Paul Leschen and Fred Sauter (Bedbugs!!!) will debut their newest musical The Astronaut Love Show Off-Broadway this month, a comedy that explores themes of love, obsession and loneliness and features a 70's-inspired score.

Performances are set to run Nov. 12-22 at the Kraine Theatre, located at 85 East 4th St. New York.

Helmed by John De Los Santos with music direction by Andy Peterson, The Astronaut Love Show features music by Leschen, and a book and lyrics by Sauter.

According to press notes, the show is billed as "a fast paced, darkly comedic original musical that tells three infamous "love stories" ripped from the headlines: a diaper-donning astronaut, a humble gay German cannibal and a Mormon-kidnapping/dog-cloning beauty queen!"

The production stars Amber Martin, Mark Rinzel, Samantha Stoltzfus, Nick DeMatteo, Injoy Fountain and Ross McCorkell. It will feature projection and production design by Dean A. Denmon, costume design by Ashley Soliman, sound design by Eben Mannes, and lighting design and stage management by Blake Kile. Bob Kale is the casting director.

Bedbugs!!! opened to enthusiastic reviews in Sept. 2014 and enjoyed an extended run at the ArcLight Theatre Off-Broadway.  Watch a video of Tony winner Lena Hall performing "Constellation Man" from The Astronaut Love Show below:
