News The Dirty Hippie Jam Band Project Musical Reading to Feature Allen, Barnhart, Rosa and Summers Three industry readings of the new musical The Dirty Hippie Jam Band Project will be presented March 18-19 at Theater 3 in Manhattan.

Directed by Alan Muraoka, the cast will include Thomas Michael Allen, Jennifer Barnhart, Mick Bonde, Suzanna Neeley Bridges, Rob Marnell, Michael "Tuba" McKinsey, Sandie Rosa and Colin Summers.

The Dirty Hippie Jam Band Project features music by Daniel Israel, lyrics by Phoebe Kreutz and a book by Adam Mathias and Kreutz.

"Hop in the van and join a group of modern-day hippies following their favorite band, Liquid Brick, around the country," according to press notes. "All is good in the land of 'Brick' until an outsider arrives and disrupts the flow. Travel with Gator, Huck, Honeydew, White Evan, Pops, Marisol and Julie as they discover their own community and new recipes for bean dip."

The performances will feature musical direction by Kary Haddad and John Prestianni.

Show times are March 18 at 3 PM and March 19 at 11 AM and 3 PM. Theater 3 is located at 311 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor. Industry folk interested in attending the readings should e-mail [email protected].
