News The Girly Show Benefit to Feature Bergman, Fields, Powell, Scolari and Wright Sandahl Bergman, Chelsea Field, Tracey Powell, Alex Scolari and Kathryn Wright will perform in The Girly Show, a benefit for UCLA Breast Center, Sept. 10 at the El Portal Theatre.

Seventeen-year-old actress Scolari, who appeared in the world premiere of the Jason Robert Brown musical 13 at the Mark Taper Forum, produces the event that will feature performers ages 7 to 83.

Sean Moran will direct the 7:30 PM evening that promises an all-girl evening of variety from Broadway and beyond.

Mindy Sterling and Annie Sertich will host the evening that boasts veteran dancers Bergman, Field, Powell and Wright offering a Bob Fosse tribute; a full performance of the opening number from 42nd Street; Scolari performing "Blue Hair"; Hellen Geller singing "Girls Gotta Do"; and the Broadway Bound Players performing a selection from Oliver!

Also scheduled are performances by Cheryl Baxter (Cats), Edge Dance Company, Lineage Dance Company, the Rage Dancers, as well as local dance groups and young performers from the area who will sing from Wicked, Shrek, Funny Girl and 13 The Musical.
