News The Great Latin Way: Bway's Banderas, Rivera, Esparza and Rubin-Vega Sing "Latin Rhythms," May 19 Broadway and Latin music worlds collide as performers Antonio Banderas, Chita Rivera, Raúl Esparza, Daphne Rubin-Vega and Rosie Perez headline an evening of "Latin Rhythms" for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, May 19 at B.B. Kings Blues Club.

Nine stars Rivera, Banderas and Saundra Santiago along with The Rocky Horror Show castmates Esparza and Rubin-Vega will perform with Perez (Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune), Def Poetry Jam's Mayda Del Valle and Lemon, Natalie Toro (Les Misérables) and Olga Merediz (Man of La Mancha). Amaro — conceiver and choreographer — co-directs the show with Ariadne Villarreal. Grammy Award-winning Ray Santos provides musical arrangements supported by The Jose Bellos Orchestra. The event will be modeled after a night at the historic Palladium during its heyday with live performances followed by an evening of dancing.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation's leading industry based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. Since it was founded in 1988, BC/EFA has raised and distributed over $65 million to services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV related illnesses.
