News The Hole, with Calveri, Murray and Gold, Begins Off-Broadway Run Sept. 9 Joey Murray's nightclub-set rock musical The Hole, starring Joey Calveri and Ari Gold, begins previews Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Clement's Sept. 9.

Sam Schechtman directs the limited engagement that runs through Sept. 18. The Hole has music by Rob Baunmgartner (Adam Lives) and lyrics by Heidi Heilig.

In addition to Calveri (We Will Rock You) and R&B performer Gold, the cast includes playwright Joey Murray, Alex Michaels, Amy Elaine Warner, Kaitlin Monte, Kako Kitano, Xavier Rice, Stephanie Spano, Carolyn Montgomery, Melissa Grochowski, Jacques Mitchell, Jennifer Anderson, Nicole Dalto and Scott Martin.

Press notes for The Hole read: "Two best friends walk into a bar. One to work. One to play. A hard rock odyssey which explores the absolution we all seek in bars, in bed and on the therapist's couch. The Hole. Some tales have no morals."

The production has set design by Zane Enloe, lighting design by Bradley Clements, sound design by Rob Bass and costumes by Amy Kaskeski.
