News The Hundred Dresses Children's Book, About Bullying, Friendship and Forgiveness, Will Come to Life in NJ The Summit Playhouse and its Kaleidoscope Theatre for Youth will present the New Jersey premiere of The Hundred Dresses, based on the Newbery Honor book of the same name by Eleanor Estes, beginning Dec. 12.

Directed and choreographed by Lindsay Maron with musical direction by Meg Zervoulis, The Hundred Dresses features a cast of children from New Jersey and New York.

"Masterfully handling such topics as bullying, friendship and forgiveness, The Hundred Dresses," according to press notes, "is a timeless tale that explores the bonds of friendship, the willingness to be yourself and the courage that it takes to stand up to others even when you're standing alone."

There will be a special show Dec. 14 at 11 AM performed for children with special needs and their families. This performance will be open to children of all ages and will be a more relaxed and informal environment. The doors will remain open, and the house lights will remain on during the performance.

Performances will continue through Dec. 21 at Summit Playhouse.
