News The Last Ship Star Will Be Wicked's New Elphaba on Broadway Rachel Tucker, who made her Broadway debut in 2014's The Last Ship, will join the Broadway company of Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman's Wicked next month in the role of Elphaba, a part she played in the London production for over three years.

Tucker will be joined by Jonah Platt, who will be making his Broadway debut in the role of Fiyero, also on Sept. 15.

The roles of Elphaba and Fiyero are currently being played by Caroline Bowman and Matt Shingledecker.

The Broadway company also currently includes Kara Lindsay as Glinda, Michele Lee as Madame Morrible, Fred Applegate as The Wizard, Robin De Jesús as Boq, Arielle Jacobs as Nessarose and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

Tucker holds the record for most consecutive performances as Elphaba in London’s West End production of Wicked.
