The stage adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's best-selling novel The Little Prince opens April 11 at the Broadway Theatre, following previews which began March 29. The production is set to conclude August 14.
To celebrate the opening engagement, the musical recently announced a partnership with a local French bakery to create a "magical" pastry. Read more here.
Promising aerial artistry and an immersive experience, the new musical follows a young hero on his journey to self-discovery. Along the way, he meets a variety of unique characters. It features direction and choreography by Anne Tournié, an adapted libretto by co-director Chris Mouron, and original music by Terry Truck.
The production also includes video design by Marie Jumelin; costume design by Peggy Housset; lighting design by Stéphane Fritsch; sound design by Tristan Viscogliosi; video projection by Etienne Beaussart; hair and makeup design by Carmen Arbues Miro; and props design by Aurélie Gandilhon.
The Little Prince is produced on Broadway by Broadway Entertainment Group, along with The Shubert Organization, Hunter Arnold & Kayla Greenspan, the John Gore Organization, Networks Presentations, Playing Field, and Miche Bonett-Horton.
