New musical The Magnificent Seven begins a limited run at Off-Broadway's Theatre Row July 7. Performances of the show about the 1996 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics team will run through July 17.

Starring in the production are Holly Gould (The Ferryman), Libby Servais (Wicked), Allison Posner (John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch), and Amy Linden (The Bridges of Madison County). Joining them in the cast are Sam Heldt, MinJi Kim, Kylie Lavrenchik, Ellen Condon Macy, Evan Maltby, Josslyn Shaw, Racquel Williams, and Emmy nominee Lynne Marie Rosenberg.

The show follows the 1996 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastic Team at the Olympics in Atlanta as they work towards becoming champions, and the competition comes down to Kerri Strug nailing her vault, while injured, in the competition's group final to make their dreams of winning gold come true. Directed by Nikki DiLoreto (Six), The Magnificent Seven features a book and lyrics by Gordon Leary, and music by Julia Meinwald (Pregnancy Pact).

The production features music direction by Alex Ratner, choreography by Jessica Walker, scenic design by Meredith Ries, lighting design by Shannon Clarke, sound design by Elisabeth Weidner, and costume design by Jennifer Chi.

The 1996 U.S. Women’s Olympic Gymnastics team included Amanda Borden, Amy Chow, Dominique Dawes, Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Jaycie Phelps, and Kerri Strug, the gymnasts who became known as The Magnificent Seven.
