Monopoly: The Musical has assembled its team of writers to bring the real estate-themed board game to the stage.
Rick Elice—a Tony nominee for Jersey Boys and Peter and the Starcatcher—will pen the book, while Dan Lipton and David Rossmer—co-founders of the late-night improv and sketch cabaret series Don’t Quit Your Night Job—will work on the score.
Plans for a Broadway adaptation of the game were officially announced in June 2016.

Hasbro Inc. will partner with the Araca Group on the project. No word yet on casting or a production schedule. Like the game itself, the musical is reported to take place in Depression-era Atlantic City.
