Tickets are currently on sale for the 42nd Annual Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, which runs August 8–12.

The U.S.’s premiere short playwriting competition features entries from 30 finalists. On August 12, six winning pieces, including plays and musicals, will be chosen for licensing and publication by a panel of 12 judges.

Samuel French began publishing drama in the late 1880s as a way of making plays available to “Little Theatres.” Operating in the U.S. and London, Samuel French continues to build its catalog and facilitate productions around the globe. The organization also promotes new work through such initiatives as the Short Play Festival.
