The panel will include Shira Beckerman (managing director, Pearl Theatre Company); Tania Camargo (executive director, Soho Rep); Ryan Hallett (development database coordinator, The Public Theatre); Adam Turner (manager of Individual Giving at Playwrights Horizons); and Jonathan Waller (director of External Affairs, Vineyard Theatre). The evening, according to press notes, "will look at keeping your not-for-profit healthy and thriving in hard times, through income other than ticket sales: the importance now more than ever of cultivating individual donors ... corporate sponsorship, or ways of involving neighborhood businesses ... whether Kickstarter and crowdraising are viable alternatives right now, or whether other creative fundraising events are more useful ... and ways of generating income through alternative programming."
Doors will open at 7 PM for networking and refreshments, followed by the 7:30 PM discussion.
The Players Theatre, 3rd Floor Loft Theatre is located at 115 MacDougal Street. The evening is free for TRU members; $12 for non-members; for reservations call (212) 714-7628 or e-mail Christopher Massimine at [email protected].
