The Pearl Theatre Company will present Euripides' Iphigeneia at Aulis, opening Nov. 19 at Theatre 80. The play, which wasn't first produced until after Euripides' death in 406 BC, examines the complicated and fatal choices of the heroes of the Trojan War. Agamemnon must decide whether the need for war outweighs the life of his daughter, Iphigeneia, and she must also decide between her life and her country.
The company in this production includes resident actors Dan Daily, Carol Schultz, Sue Jin Song, Robert Hock, Albert Jones, Melissa Maxwell, Celeste Ciulla, Michael Nichols and Scott Whitehearst.
Iphigeneia at Aulis runs Nov. 19-Dec. 16. For tickets and information, please call (212) 598-9802.
