In addition to Redgrave (Driving Miss Daisy, The Year of Magical Thinking, Long Day's Journey Into Night) and Eisenberg ("The Social Network," "The Newsroom"), the cast features Daniel Oreskes (The Twenty-Seventh Man, Russian Transport).
Kip Fagan directs the production that officially opens Feb. 28 for a run through March 31. Last season Eisenberg starred in his play Asuncion for the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
According to the Rattlestick, "In The Revisionist David (Eisenberg) arrives in Poland with a crippling case of writer's block and a desire to be left alone. His 75-year-old second cousin Maria (Redgrave) welcomes him with a fervent need to connect with her distant American family. As their tenuous relationship develops, she reveals details about her complicated post-war past that tests their ideas of what it means to be a family."
The Revisionist has scenic design by John McDermott, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Matt Frey, sound design by Bart Fasbender and property design by Andrew Diaz.
