It's technically not the end of the road for the show, however. A non-Equity tour launches in 2006-07, and the Broadway production is still going strong at the Neil Simon Theatre. A film version of the musical comedy (itself inspired by a non-musical film) is in production. The touring production's final-week cast includes Keala Settle (as Tracy Turnblad), J. P. Dougherty (Edna Turnblad), Shannon Antalan (Inez), Jane Blass (Female Authority Figure), Charlotte Crossley (Motormouth Maybelle), Susan Henley (Velma Von Tussle), Melissa Larsen (Penny Pingleton), Tara Macri (Amber Von Tussle), Paul McQuillan (Corny Collins), Alan Mingo, Jr. (Seaweed J.
