News The Screening Room: 2015 Tony-Nominated Best Leading Actor in a Musical, On the Town's Tony Yazbeck Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck has been nominated for a 2015 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his role as Gabey in On the Town. Playbill.com looks back at his career with clips of his Broadway outings, concert and TV appearances and more.

Yazbeck first appeared on Broadway as a Newsboy in the Tony-winning 1989 production of Gypsy starring Tyne Daly. He then made the leap to smooth-talker Billy Flynn in the Broadway revival of Chicago in 2011. This was followed by roles in Oklahoma!, A Chorus Line and once again in Gypsy, this time as Tulsa.
