News THE SCREENING ROOM: Avenue Q Welcomes Carrie Back to NYC She may not be the most popular girl in high school, but Carrie definitely has some fans on the internet. MCC Theater's online video contest to win VIP tickets to the March 1 opening-night performance of the musical just got interesting.

Fans have been able to upload their own Youtube videos to submit to MCC Theater explaining why they are fans of the pop musical based on Stephen King's novel of the same title.

Avenue Q's Lavinia Thistletwat and Rod are the latest to submit. Rod does a pretty decent job with the title song from Carrie; maybe we'll see them at opening night!

Carrie, which received a notoriously troubled 1988 Broadway staging, is back in a newly revised Off-Broadway production. Performances began Jan. 31.
