News THE SCREENING ROOM: Barbara Cook Backstage at the Kennedy Center Honors Tony Award-winning soprano Barbara Cook is among the honorees of the 34th annual Kennedy Center Honors, which air Dec. 27 at 9 PM ET on CBS.

In a separate interview that aired last week, Cook sat down with CBS for a candid interview about her personal life, a decades-long career on stage, and the loss of her longtime collaborator and friend Wally Harper.

As previously reported by Playbill, Cook will be celebrated by Tony winner Patti LuPone, Tony winner Audra McDonald, Tony winner Glenn Close, Tony nominee Rebecca Luker, Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara, Tony winner Sutton Foster and Laura Osnes during the awards ceremony.
