News THE SCREENING ROOM: Billy Porter, Annaleigh Ashford, Ryan Steele and More Ask Theatregoers to "Make-A-Wish" (Video) Friends in Theater Company will present a one-night-only performance of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens' Once on This Island Jan. 20 at the Lucille Lortel Theater to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York and Western New York. In anticipation of the event, members from the Broadway community talk about Make-A-Wish.

The 7:30 PM performance will be directed and choreographed by Curtis Holbrook.

Here, Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots), Stark Sands (Kinky Boots), Ann Harada (Cinderela), Santino Fontana (Cinderella), Adam Kaplan (Newsies), Ryan Steele (Newsies) and Janet Krupin (If/Then) talk about the upcoming production and the foundation. 

Once on This Island will feature Erica Simone Barnett as Little Timoune, Aisha De Haas as Mama Euralie, Marisa Kennedy as Andrea, Tamika Lawerence as Erzulie, Gerry Mcintyre as Tonton Julian and Stephanie Umoh as Asaka, who join the previously reported Kenita R. Miller as Timoune, Joe Aaron Reid as Daniel, Michael James Scott as Agwe and Andre Ward as Papa Ge with Jonathan Burke, Renee Veronica Freeman and Thaddeus McCants. The musical director is Jonathan Rose.

All proceeds will benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization that has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1980.
