News THE SCREENING ROOM: Celebrating the Tony Award-Winning Musical Nine (Video) The 1982 Tony Award-winning musical Nine by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit played its final performance Feb. 4, 1984. In celebration of the musical, Playbill.com looks back at performances from the original production, film and 2003 revival as well as several covers of "Unusual Way."

Nine starred Raul Julia as Guido Contini, Karen Akers as Luisa Contini, Shelly Burch as Claudia, Stephanie Cotsirilos as Stephanie Necrophorus, Kate Dezina as Our Lady of the Spa, Taina Elg as Guido's Mother, Liliane Montevecchi as Liliane La Fleur and Anita Morris as Carla.
