January 17, 2013, marks what would have been Tony Award-nominated singer-actress Eartha Kitt's 86th birthday. In celebration of the late Broadway and film actress, looks back at her career.

Kitt, a two-time Tony nominee for her work in The Wild Party and Timbuktu!, was also seen on Broadway in Nine, Jolly's Progress, Shinbone Alley, Mrs. Patterson, Leonard Sillman's New Faces of 1952, Bal Negre and Carib Song.
