News THE SCREENING ROOM: Into the Woods' Donna Murphy Sings on Stage and Screen (Video) Tony Award winner Donna Murphy, who originated the role of Fosca in the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical Passion, is on familiar dramatic turf in the Shakespeare in the Park production of Into the Woods.

Sondheim and Lapine also collaborated on the fairytale musical that is receiving an al fresco staging at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Murphy takes on the role of the Witch, delivering such songs as "Stay With Me" and "Last Midnight."
