News THE SCREENING ROOM: Lady Gaga Seeks "Applause" in Wizard of Oz-Themed "GMA" Performance (Video) Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga celebrated her new single "Applause" Sept. 9 on "Good Morning America," where she performed the number in a Wizard of Oz-themed performance.

"Im so excited to perform on ABC Good Morning America in 1 hr! ‪#ThereNoPlaceLikeHome ‪#GagaOfOz ‪#ApplauseGMA," tweeted the singer, prior to her performance.

On "GMA," Gaga — dressed as Dorothy — opened with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" before she ventured to Oz with backup dancers dressed as the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion to perform "Applause." Throughout the number, the singer appeared as Glinda, the Wicked Witch and Dorothy.
