Special Features THE SCREENING ROOM: Looking Back at "I Dreamed a Dream" and Celebrating Les Miz Revival (Video) On Nov. 9, 2006, the Broadway revival of Les Miserables opened at the Broadhurst Theatre. Playbill.com is marking the day with a look at some favorite and rare performances of "I Dreamed a Dream."

The iconic ballad, performed by the character of Fantine in Les Miz, features music by Claude-Michel Schonberg and original French lyrics by Alain Boublil. The song was later translated into English by Herbert Kretzmer, and features orchestrations by John Cameron.
