News THE SCREENING ROOM: Performances from Playbill Staff Picks for Fanny Brice in Funny Girl The recently planned Broadway revival of Funny Girl was canceled in Nov. 2011 prior to its Jan. 2012 debut at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. The 2012 production would have been the first Broadway revival of the musical, which debuted in 1964 propelling Barbra Streisand to stardom.
