News THE SCREENING ROOM: Raúl Esparza, Patti LuPone, Neil Patrick Harris, Bernadette Peters and More Sing "Being Alive" (Video) The revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical revue Putting It Together played its final Broadway performance Feb. 20, 2000. In celebration of the production, Playbill.com has put together various performances of the Sondheim ballad "Being Alive."

Putting It Together, which includes songs from various Sondheim works, featured Carol Burnett, George Hearn, John Barrowman, Ruthie Henshall, Bronson Pinchot and Kathie Lee Gifford. "Being Alive" was penned by Sondheim for the award-winning musical Company.
