Cahill rose to fame when his "Teenage Dream" video hit YouTube last year. Since then, the teenager has performed lip-synch YouTube videos with rapper 50 Cent and the cast of "Glee," among others.  

In Spider-Man, Carney (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) is joined by Rebecca Faulkenberry as Mary Jane Watson, Christina Sajous as Arachne and Patrick Page as Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin.

Spider-Man, according to press notes, “follows the story of teenager Peter Parker (Carney), whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and wakes up the next morning clinging to his bedroom ceiling. This bullied science-geek suddenly endowed with incredible powers soon learns, however, that with great power comes great responsibility as villains put both his physical strength and strength of character to the test.”
