News THE SCREENING ROOM: Tonya Pinkins, Ashley Brown, Molly Pope and More Sing at Night of a Thousand Judys (Video) On June 18 a starry line-up of talent from Broadway and downtown united to celebrate the legacy of late entertainer Judy Garland in Night of a Thousand Judys at Playwrights Horizons.

The second annual event, a tribute to all things Judy Garland, benefited for the Ali Forney Center and its mission to assist LGBT homeless youth. It was a special installment of Justin Sayre's variety show, The Meeting*.

The night featured appearances and performances by Tony winner Tonya Pinkins (Jelly's Last Jam; Caroline, or Change), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins), Molly Pope (Wonderful Town, Our Hit Parade), recording artist-actress Nellie McKay (Threepenny Opera) and more.
