News THE SCREENING ROOM: Trailer Released for "Burton and Taylor" With Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West co-star in the upcoming BBC drama "Burton and Taylor," which centers on the strained relationship between acting couple Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor as they prepare for their ill-fated 1983 revival of Noël Coward's Private Lives.

Set to air this fall, the 90-minute drama "Burton and Taylor" is written by William Ivory. Richard Laxton directs. An official air date has not been announced.

West ("The Wire," "The Hour") stars as Burton with Carter ("Sweeney Todd," "The King's Speech") as Taylor.

According to the BBC, "The drama follows their private and public relationship played out against their ill-fated appearance in a 1983 revival of Noel Coward's stage play, Private Lives... Burton and Taylor is one of the most fascinating, glamorous and tempestuous relationships of the 20th century - the two most famous movie stars of their day who played out every high and low of their love affairs, multiple marriages and divorces right in the public eye."
