(Video) Following acclaimed openings in Washington and New York, the Kennedy Center's Broadway production of the award-winning musical Follies, which was nominated for eight Tony Awards and ten Drama Desk Awards, officially opened May 9 at Los Angeles' Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre.

Here, Follies stars Victoria Clark, who joined the production for the Los Angeles engagement as Sally Durant Plummer; Elaine Paige, who received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance; and Danny Burstein, Ron Raines and Jan Maxwell, who received Tony Award nominations for their performances, hit the red carpet following their opening night in L.A.

Other stars on hand at the performance included Matthew Morrison, Robert Wuhl, Kevin Chamberlin, Angela Bassett, Annie Potts and Jo Anne Worley.

Follies concerns a group of former "Follies" stars who return to the site of their former glory, the Weismann Theatre, which is about to be demolished. Old wounds resurface as two Follies stars (Phyllis and Sally) and their husbands (Benjamin and Buddy) reassess their lives and what could have been. Performances continue through June 9.
