Tony Award winner Ellen Barkin, stage and screen actor Justin Bartha and Scottish actress Georgia King also star in the 20th Century Fox TV and NBC comedy, directed by "Glee" co-creator Murphy.
The single-camera project is described as "a heartwarming comedy about a blended family of a gay couple, Bryan (Rannells) and David (Bartha), and the woman who becomes a surrogate (King) to help them start a family." Barkin is cast as the surrogate's glamorous grandmother.
Here's how the pilot episode is billed: "With successful careers and a committed, loving partnership, Bryan and David are missing only one thing: a baby. Could Goldie be just the surrogate mother they’re searching for?"
