The acclaimed revival of The Seagull offers a special performance to benefit the Actors Fund of America Dec. 7.

The 8 PM performance of the Chekhov play will benefit the non-profit organization. Ian Rickson directs the production, which co-stars Kristin Scott Thomas and Peter Sarsgaard. Previews began at the Kerr Sept. 16, and the 14-week limited engagement will continue through December 21.

Rickson's production, which played a January-March 2007 run at London's Royal Court, features a new translation penned by playwright Christopher Hampton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Philanthropist).

The Seagull plays the Walter Kerr Theatre, located at 219 West 48th Street. Tickets, priced $41-$110, are available by calling (212) 221-7300, ext. 133.

The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
