One of the greatest Brazilian comedy writers, actor and director Miguel Falabella, brings back to the stage his acclaimed work The Share (A Partilha). This comedy reopens on November 6 and inaugurates The Miguel Falabella Theatre in Rio de Janeiro.

In 1990 The Share attracted large audiences to The Quatro Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, where it remained a box office record holder for three consecutive years. The play toured afterwards to other Brazilian states for a two years, enjoying the same success with public and critic.

The Share tells the story of four bewildering, self-centered sisters who are reunited at their mother´s funeral, only to fight over the best share of the family fortune.

Starring is a cast of established TV and Theatre actresses: Nivea Maria, Rosamaria Murtinho, Claudia Alencar and Magaly Evangelista.

"Even though I had selected a new cast for The Share, I haven´t changed anything in its script because it was written at a very inspired moment of my career" says the author. Falabella, who is currently playing the lead in TV miniseries ai de Baixo - The Comedy and in the Play The Submarine in Sao Paulo, will also bring to the Rio stage Sleeping Beauty. This Play, adapted by Maria Clara Machado and directed by Caca Mourthe, has scenic design by Mauricio Sette. It opens on November 8, in The Miguel Falabella Theatre.
