The stars will be out June 8 to celebrate Broadway's biggest night. Starting with red carpet arrival photos to backstage interviews, winner reactions, social media watch and commentary on the night's biggest trends, speeches, upsets, surprises and those show-stopping musical numbers that only the Tony Awards can provide – Playbill.com will offer complete coverage.
This year Playbill.com has joined forces with entertainment website Stage17.tv to live stream exclusive coverage from the 68th Annual Tony Awards red carpet. Motown Tony nominee Valisia LeKae and stylist George Brescia will co-host "Dress Up! Live: The 2014 Tony Awards Red Carpet," which will begin at 6:30 PM ET on Playbill.com.
Beginning at 7 PM, Playbill.com editor in chief Adam Hetrick will live blog from the Tony Awards press room, keeping readers up to date with a first-hand account of the winners and their reactions.
Playbill.com will also post red carpet arrival shots from photographer Joseph Marzullo, snapshots of the Tony winners and breaking news stories all evening long.
In addition to reporting 2014 Tony winners as they happen in our news section, Playbill will also be posting to Facebook and Twitter (@Playbill) throughout the night. Playbill.com staff writer Michael Gioia (@PlaybillMichael) will be Instagramming and tweeting from the red carpet, and photo editor Matt Blank (@PlaybillMattB) will be tweeting from the press room. Playbill Magazine editor in chief Blake Ross (@PlaybillBlake) will also be tweeting and instagramming from inside Radio City Music Hall and from the official Tony Awards after party. Use #AskPlaybill on Twitter to have Playbill.com reporters ask your questions when the winners arrive in the Tony Awards press room.
Our sister sites will be tweeting Tony Awards trivia and #ThrowbackTony pictures and bios from @PlaybillVault, videos from @PlaybillVideo, educational tidbits from @PlaybillEDU and party ideas from @SpelvinSociety.
Also keep an eye-out for Playbill.com's social media round-up, capturing the best Instagram and Twitter posts from the Broadway community inside Radio City and beyond on Tony night.
Wherever there are stars, Playbill.com will be there!
