Taylor Frey, who recently starred Off-Broadway in The View UpStairs, has been cast in the upcoming film It: Chapter Two, according to Deadline. He's set to play Don Hagarty, who is romantically involved with Adrian Mellon (to be played by Xavier Dolan).

The New Line film, based on the Stephen King novel, is a sequel to 2017's It, also directed by Andy Muschietti. Gary Dauberman penned the screenplay.

Frey has appeared on Broadway in the revivals of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Finian's Rainbow. On screen, he's known for his performances in The Carrie Diaries, Gossip Girl, and G.B.F.

The film, which will be released by Warner Bros. September 6, 2019, focuses on the now-adult members of the Losers’ Club who survived the actions of Pennywise, again played by Bill Skarsgard. The cast also includes James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Jay Ryan as Ben, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike.

Filming is expected to begin later this month.
