News The War Since Eve, a World Premiere, Will Play Ann Arbor's PNT; Season Announced Michigan playwright Kim Carney will see the world premiere of her play, The War Since Eve, produced in early 2011 at Performance Network Theatre in Ann Arbor.

From the playwright of local hits Moonglow and The Home Team comes another comedy. Here's how PNT bills it: "On the eve of receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom, women's rights pioneer Roxie Firestone has a dilemma. As the mother of two grown daughters — Milty, her put-upon assistant and Tara, from whom she has been estranged for 20 years — she wouldn't win any Mother of the Year awards. When one daughter returns and the other threatens to jump ship, she must decide — which is more important, sisterhood or motherhood?" Casting and creative team will be announced. Performances will play 
Jan. 13-Feb. 13, 2011.

The 2010-11 season at the intimate Equity theatre will also include the Michigan premiere of Melinda Lopez's Sonia Flew (a co-production with the Jewish Ensemble Theatre); the Michigan resident premiere of the musical The Drowsy Chaperone; August Wilson's The Piano Lesson; Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation; the Michigan premiere of Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh by Joel Gross; and a work to be announced.
