PREVIEWS→ There's new magic to do over at the Music Box when Diane Paulus' revival of Pippin comes to town. In this 40th-anniversary production of the venerable Stephen Schwartz musical, Paulus counts on choreographer (and original Pippin cast member) Chet Walker to restore the classic Bob Fosse choreography, and she welcomes circus-like acrobatics courtesy of Gypsy Snider of the circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (7 Fingers). Tony nominee Patina Miller reigns over the big top as the Leading Player with Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark alum Matthew James Thomas as the title character. Sunday March 24 LAST CHANCE→ The Charles Strouse-Lee Adams musical It's a Bird…It's a Plane…It's Superman returns to New York in an Encores! concert production. Edward Watts stars as the famous caped crusader with Jenny Powers as his damsel in distress, Lois Lane. Superman features the songs "You've Got Possibilities," "You've Got What I Need," "I'm Not Finished Yet" and "The Woman for the Man." (New York City Center, 131 W. 55th St., btwn. 6th & 7th Aves. WATCH→ Pint-sized powerhouse Kristin Chenoweth takes a decidedly more sophisticated turn with the critically acclaimed Dames of Broadway. A lived-taped version of the show, which premiered at Lincoln Center as part of their American Songbook Series, will be presented on PBS. In Dames Chenoweth takes on songs like "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," from Show Boat, "A Quiet Thing," from Flora the Red Menace, and "Old Maid," from 110 in the Shade. (8 PM ET, PBS. Info.)

LAST CHANCE→ One of Broadway's favorite funny ladies, Julie Halston, brings Classical Julie back to Birdland as part of the Broadway at Birdland series. The one-woman show is billed as "classic Halston rants (New York Times wedding announcements and Joan Crawford, among them) along with brand new material, including her — brace yourselves! — fresh takes on Shakespeare, Ibsen and other writers of considerable renown." PREVIEWS→ Alec Baldwin stars in the revival of Lyle Kessler's Orphans — the story of two poor, orphaned brothers who get in over their heads when they kidnap a rich Chicago gangster. Ben Foster steps in for the previously announced Shia LaBeouf (who exited the show during a tumultuous and oddly public rehearsal period). Also starring Tom Sturridge and directed by Daniel Sullivan. PREVIEWS→ Fiona Shaw and director Deborah Warner were last paired on Broadway in 2002 for the astounding adaptation of Euripides' Medea. Now, the pair return with The Testament of Mary, an examination of another complex and history-steeped woman, Jesus' mother, Mary. In the one-woman show adapted from Colm Tóibín's novella of the same name, we follow Mary in the city of Ephesus, after the Crucifixion of her son. Officially opens April 22. GO (FREE)→ The Spotlight on Town Hall free concert, a celebration of The Town Hall's designation as a National Historic Landmark Site, will feature performances from Rebecca Luker, Jeremy Jordan and the companies of Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera and Avenue Q. SEE (FREE)→ Should you find yourself in Times Square at midnight, you'll be treated to something a little different than the usual JumboTron advertisements you're used to seeing. The Times Square Alliance and the Times Square Advertising Council have teamed up to present Midnight Moment: A Digital Gallery — a daily, changing art installation displayed on the digital screens surrounding Times Square. This month's instillation is a video from Bjork exploring the art of science and nature. (Midnight, Times Square. Info.)
