GO→ The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer, a part of BAM’s Next Wave Festival, stars Academy Award winner John Malkovich as Jack, the killer in question. Two sopranos and the Austrian ensemble Orchester Wiener Akademie set Jack’s story about murdering women to beautiful music (quite the contradiction, wouldn't you say?). The fest continues with John Hurt in Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape (Dec. 6-18) and Merce Cunningham: The Legacy Tour (Dec. 7-10), among various forums and music shows. OPENING→ An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin officially opens on Broadway. The pair, who haven’t performed on a Broadway stage together since their Tony-winning turns in Evita, come back to Broadway, oddly enough, in the same season as the revival of that Andrew Lloyd Webber classic. More than just your run-of-the-mill concert engagement, An Evening finds LuPone and Patinkin caught in a narrative traversing a myriad of special relationships sprinkled with favorites from Sondheim, Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein and, of course, a revisiting of the songs of Eva Perón and Che. READ→ The legendary composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim follows-up last year’s New York Times bestseller "Finishing the Hat" (which chronicled the beginning of Sondheim's career and his collected lyrics from 1954-81) with "Look, I Made a Hat," which has its official publication date today. It takes a look at Sondheim's later works starting with Sunday in the Park with George through what eventually became Road Show. Littered throughout the book are personal stories and songs that never made it to the stage (or as Sondheim puts it in the book’s subtitle: "Attendant Comments, Amplifications, Dogmas, Harangues, Digressions, Anecdotes and Miscellany"). OPENING→ Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams and Tony winner Eddie Redmayne star in a new Adrian Hodges film "My Week With Marilyn," the story of a young filmmaker (Redmayne) who enjoys a private week with Marilyn Monroe (Williams) on vacation from filming the 1957 film "The Prince and the Show Girl." Other stage stars featured in the film include Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Kenneth Branagh, Zoe Wanamaker and Derek Jacobi. (Info here.)

WATCH→ Spend your Thanksgiving with those you love — set to the music of Broadway! As is tradition, the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, celebrating its 85th anniversary, relies on show people for some musical power. This year's Broadway performers include the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying led by Daniel Radcliffe, the shiny gals of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the singing nuns of Sister Act and the team at Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark. Also performing will be The Radio City Rockettes and stars-in-training from Camp Broadway and Stagedoor Manor. (9 AM to noon on NBC, info.)

RETURNING→ Sutton Foster returns to the role that nabbed her a second Tony Award — the brassy, God-loving nightclub singer Reno Sweeney — in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Anything Goes. After a three-week hiatus to film a television pilot, Foster returns to the transatlantic liner setting, currently anchored at the Sondheim Theatre, alongside Joel Grey (also back after a minor leave to nurse an injured ankle), Colin Donnell, and Tony nominee Adam Godley.
