News "Theater Talk" Explores Passing Strange and The 39 Steps March 21 The March 21 broadcast of "Theater Talk" — the PBS chat show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners — will spotlight the new musical Passing Strange and the Hitchcock thriller The 39 Steps.

Stew and Heidi Rodewald will be on hand to discuss Passing Strange, the rock musical that played an acclaimed run at Off-Broadway's Public Theater before transferring to Broadway's Belasco. And, film historian Jerry Carlson — the host of "City Cinematheque" — will discuss The 39 Steps, both the 1935 Hitchcock film and the stage adaptation that is currently playing the American Airlines Theatre.

"Theater Talk" will premiere March 21 at 12:30 AM ET on PBS/Thirteen. Subsequent airings are scheduled for CUNY-TV: March 29 at 8:30 PM, March 30 at 12:30 PM and March 31 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
