News   "Theater Talk" Features De Shields, Mamet and Lane Dec. 21
André de Shields, David Mamet and Nathan Lane are just a few of the artists who will be featured on the Dec. 21 broadcast of "Theater Talk," the PBS chat show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners.

De Shields, who was Tony-nominated for his performances in Play On! and The Full Monty, will be on hand to discuss his current role in the Classical Theatre of Harlem production of Black Nativity. The Shangilia Youth Choir of Kenya, also featured in the production of the Langston Hughes work at the Duke Theatre, will be part of the telecast as well.

"Theater Talk" also offers footage from the first rehearsal of David Mamet's November, which begins previews on Broadway Dec. 20. Among those interviewed at the rehearsal were playwright Mamet as well as cast members Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Dylan Baker and Michael Nichols.

Village Voice columnist Michael Musto will also make an appearance on the Dec. 21 "Theater Talk."

Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theater Talk" airs in the metropolitan New York City area on WNET/Thirteen at 12:30 AM.
