"Theater Talk," the New York City PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers, will feature a chat with playwright Wilson, whose works are currently being celebrated by the Signature Theatre Company. Wilson's Burn This, which ends its run at the Union Square Theatre Jan. 5, 2003, will be followed by a revival of his Fifth of July starring Robert Sean Leonard and Parker Posey. The talk show will also feature a discussion of the Baz Luhrmann staging of the classic opera La Bohème, which is now playing the Broadway Theatre. The opera, which was greeted with enthusiastic reviews, is set in 1957 Paris and employs three rotating casts due to the vocal demands of the Puccini score.
Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs late Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen. Check local listings.
