News   "Theater Talk" Remembers Tony Award Winner Peter Stone July 1
An encore presentation of "Theater Talk"'s tribute to the late book writer Peter Stone will be presented July 1.

The encore airing of "Theater Talk," the PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers, features clips from Stone's various guest appearances on the program throughout the years. Stone guested on the chat show six times, and the half-hour tribute includes his discussion of the Tony-winning musical 1776, for which he wrote the book. Peter Stone wrote the books of the Broadway musicals Kean, Skyscraper, 1776, Two By Two, Sugar, Woman of the Year, My One and Only, The Will Rogers Follies and Titanic. He won Tony Awards for his books for Titanic, Woman of the Year and 1776, and his screenplays include "Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?," "The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three" and "Sweet Charity." Stone died April 26, 2003, at a Manhattan hospital.

Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theater Talk" airs late Friday nights at 12:30 AM on WNET/Thirteen. The program will also air Monday, July 4 at 5 AM ET.
