The July 11 broadcast of "Theater Talk" — the New York City PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers — will feature an interview with the playwright of this year's Tony-winning Best Play, Take Me Out. Greenberg also penned The Violet Hour, which will arrive on Broadway in the fall.
In Take Me Out — now playing the Walter Kerr Theatre — a baseball player reveals his sexuality, and that announcement affects his life and those around him. The comedic drama also won Tonys for Best Direction of a Play (Joe Mantello) and Best Featured Actor in a Play (Denis O'Hare). Call (212) 239-6200 for tickets.
Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs late Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen.
