News "Theater Talk" Will Head to the Guthrie in August "Theater Talk" — the PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners — will film its first episode outside of Manhattan in August.

The nationally syndicated chat show will film a panel discussion at the Guthrie in Minneapolis Aug. 4. Tickets for the 7:30 PM filming will go on sale July 17 at 10 AM.

Co-hosts Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins will moderate a discussion that spotlights four award-winning regional theatres. The panel will comprise Guthrie artistic director Joe Dowling, The Children's Theatre Company artistic director Peter Brosius, Chicago Shakespeare Theater artistic director Barbara Gaines and Steppenwolf artistic director Martha Lavey. The discussion will be presented on the Guthrie's Wurtele Stage.

A second episode of "Theater Talk" — featuring a look inside the Guthrie Theater and an informal chat with director Dowling — will also be filmed for future broadcast.
