News Theatre for a New Audience's Julius Caesar to End Feb. 23 in NYC Theatre for a New Audience's production of Julius Caesar, which had been rescheduled to close March 12 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, is returning to its original closing date of Feb. 23.

The classic Shakespeare tragedy starring Earl Hindman (Wilson on television's "Home Improvement") in the title role opened Jan. 19. Karin Coonrod directs.

Julius Caesar is the second entry in TFANA's season of betrayal sandwiched between the previous The General From America and the upcoming Don Juan. The Bard recreates Rome as the traditional democracy alters into a dictatorship under the leadership of Julius Caesar. Members of the Senate contemplate assassination as the only way out of their situation, but are they patriots or are they traitors?

Hindman returns to TFANA where, last season, he played one of the cowboys in the company's well-received Cymbeline. He was also featured in their Troilus and Cressida.

Graham Winton is Mark Antony with Michael Ray Escamilla as Octavius Caesar, Thomas M. Hammond (The General From America) as Marcus Brutus and Daniel Oreskes (Electra, The Fourth Sister) as Caius Cassius. Also in the cast are Justin Campbell, Simeon Moore, Michael Rogers, David Don Miller, Matt Saldivar, Katherine Borowitz (Portia), Hope Chernov (Calpurnia), Curzon Dobell, Andy Hoey, Nicholas Mongiardo-Copper and Jacob Garrett White.

Julius Caesar plays the Lortel, located at 121 Christopher Street. Tickets are available through Telecharge at (212) 239-6200. Theatre for a New Audience is on the web at www.tfana.org.
