Artistic Producer Susan Serran and Associate Artist Colin Taylor have announced the thirtieth anniversary season (1997-98) for Theatre Passe Muraille.

The shows are:

* 1837: The Farmer's Revolt, by Rick Salutin and TPM. Directed by Colin Taylor, the play documents the lives and experiences of early citizens of Upper Canada. In the Mainspace, the run is from Sept. 25 to Oct. 19 with previews Sept. 20 - 24.

* Possible Worlds by John Mighton. Directed by Daniel Brooks, this is a reprise presentation of this highly successful play. In the Backspace from Oct. 24 to Nov. 16, with previews Oct. 22,23.

The Baby Blues by Drew Hayden Taylor, produced by Native Earth Performing Arts. A new comedy about the trials of an aging powwow dancer. In the Mainspace from Nov 13 to Nov 30 with previews Nov 11, 12, The Duchess by Linda Griffiths. Directed by Paul Thompson, The Duchess is a witty take on the woman who single-handedly de-throned a king! A Toronto premiere the show runs in the Mainspace from Jan 31 to Feb 22 with previews Jan 27 - 30.

Quarte by Eugene Stickland. Directed by Alisa Plamer and Tomson Highway. Four actors, four musicians and four short plays. Produced by Froth Productions and TPM. In the Backspace from Feb 19 to Mar 15 with previews Feb 17,18.

Aurash, translated and adapted by Scheil Parsa and Peter Farbridge. A co-production of TPM and Modern Times Stage Co. The story combines the ancient traditions of Middle Eastern Theatre with modern physicality in an exotic tale of fate and nationalism. In the Backspace from May 14 to June 7.
