News "Theatre Talk" Spotlights Tony Winner Elaine Stritch Oct. 22 Elaine Stritch, who is currently co-starring opposite Bernadette Peters in the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music, will be the focus of the Oct. 22 broadcast of "Theater Talk."

The episode will premiere at 1 AM ET on WNET/Thirteen. Encore broadcasts are scheduled for Oct. 30 at 8:30 PM; Oct. 31 at 12:30 PM; and Nov. 1 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM, all on CUNY TV. The Tony and Emmy-winning actress will discuss her love of the theatre and audiences ("I level with them…truth was always number one on my agenda"), the training and techniques that have helped her  throughout her legendary career, and the richness of her life ("I have the fullest life of anyone I know – it’s the answer to longevity").

She will also share comments she has received backstage from Hal Prince, Stephen Sondheim and Elaine May, as well as Angela Lansbury, who Stritch followed in the role of Madame Armfeldt in the Broadway revival at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
