Women directors and choreographers (and often both) Susan Stroman, Julie Taymor, Ann Reinking, Graciela Daniele and Kathleen Marshall will be feted at the American Theatre Wing's annual honors luncheon April 16. The event will be held at the Pierre Hotel overlooking Central Park.

Since Taymor won her Tony Award for The Lion King, the first for a woman musical director, women choreographers and directors have made major breakthroughs on the Great White Way. Currently, Stroman is represented by three shows, two of them Tony winners - Contact, The Producers and The Music Man,which she solely choreographed. Marshall has two choreography credits out there - Kiss Me, Kate and Seussical - while Daniele has one: Annie Get Your Gun.

Also a performer, Reinking is the only one actually out on Broadway. She recently joined the company of Fosse, where she plays opposite Ben Vereen and soon, opposite Bebe Neuwirth, with whom she starred in Chicago. Reinking won a Tony Award for Chicago's choreography and an Olivier Award for Fosse.

Every year, the American Theatre Wing honors select members of the theatre community with a luncheon. Past recipients have included Ossie Davis, Kevin Kline, Patrick Stewart, Jason Robards and Sam Waterson.
