News TheatreWorks Replaces Pamela’s First Musical with Sisters Rosensweig Due to the illness of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Wendy Wasserstein, TheatreWorks — the professional theatre company in Palo Alto, CA — has postponed its presentation of Wasserstein, David Zippel and Cy Coleman’s Pamela’s First Musical.

In its place the theatre company will offer another Wasserstein work, The Sisters Rosensweig, April 5-30.

TheatreWorks Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley will direct the production. About the show Kelley said in a statement, “I have long dreamed of producing The Sisters Rosensweig here at TheatreWorks, although I never imagined it would happen under such circumstances. It is the only one of Wendy’s acclaimed Broadway hits that we have not done here, and it will be a great credit to the season.”

Casting for Rosensweig will be announced at a future date.

The TheatreWorks season also features Sarah Ruhl’s The Clean House (Jan. 18-Feb. 12) and Nilo Cruz’s Anna in the Tropics (March 8-April 2).

TheatreWorks presents its productions at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro Street in Mountain View, CA. For tickets call (650) 903-6000 or visit www.theatreworks.org.
