A middle-aged Italian-American man from New Jersey meets a Puerto Rican, post-operative transsexual in the land of the dead in Bad Blood, a new comedy by David Simpatico (Mac: A Macaroni Requiem). Bad Blood makes its BareBones debut at the Lark Theatre April 19-23. Peabody Award winner Michael Breault ("Nothing Sacred") directs.

Dominic first seeks out Whida Peru because she is the most powerful medium on the east coast and he wishes to commune with his murdered gay son. Whida is reluctant, but decides to give him a tour of the underworld, where the two meet dead relatives, lovers and finally, Dominic's child. A Jonathan Larson Award winner, Simpatico is also the author of The Screams of Kitty Genovese, the libretto for Aaron J. Kernis' Millennium Symphony and has written for Blue's Clues.

Bad Blood features Mario Campanaro, Harry Carnahan (An Inspector Calls), Randy Danson, Ramon de Ocampo, Reg Flowers (Wrong Mountain, Angels in America), Tony nominee Tony Liberatore (Burn This), William Metzo, Michael Sabatino (Cobb) and Heather Zicko.
